So we were talking a little bit in the chatroom last night about art, and I asked what seemed like an innocent question. What makes a piece of art look finished? To be more specific, now that I have the space to type, what exactly is it that sets the work of a professional artist apart from us rank amateurs? I'm genuinely curious. I mean, let's face it, I'm so far from having that kind of skill I'm not even within sight of the ballpark. But as the title of this entry states, everyone needs an unattainable goal.
